As Chief Economist and Managing Principal, Tim supervises TriWest’s data analysis team and leads projects involving quantitative program evaluation. He has experience estimating the prevalence of behavioral health conditions. He also calculates the cost and utilization of services for clients of primary care, clients of specialty behavioral healthcare, veterans, and people involved in the criminal justice and child welfare systems.
Prior to joining TriWest full time in 2014, Tim was Economics Department Chair at Central Washington University. He is a two-tour veteran of the Iraq War. And he now lives on an off-grid organic farm in the eastern foothills of the Cascade Mountains.
Tim holds an undergraduate degree in philosophy and a PhD in economics.
