Youth Violence: A Report of the Surgeon General. This report from the Surgeon General's office provides an overview of current trends and national priorities related to youth violence. The National Center for Children Exposed to Violence (NCCEV) is national resource center for anyone seeking information about the effects of violence on children and the initiatives designed to address this problem, including a dynamic body of literature, Internet resources and a bibliography database. They also offer resources specific to the Safe Start Initiative. The Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice provides a wide range of research and practical information related to training, evaluation, program improvement and statistics in the juvenile and adult justice systems. The Colorado Coalition for Minority Youth Equality's web site provides resources and information relating to minority overrepresentation in the juvenile justice system. The National GAINS Center for People with Co-Occurring Disorders in the Justice System provides information, resources and links to support providers, policymakers, administrators, researchers, consumers, and family members, in improving services for adults and juveniles with co-occurring disorders who are involved with the justice system.
