SYSTEMS OF CARE FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES

American Institutes for Research (AIR) administers a number of projects for the U.S. Departments of Education, Health and Human Services, and Justice. They are the primary technical assistance provider for the Center for Mental Health Services' Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children and Their Families Program grantees in their efforts to successfully develop and implement local systems of care.

National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) provides resources, publications and links related to practice and policy issues in family courts, child welfare and other issues related to children's well-being.

National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) provides resources, publications and links related to practice and policy issues in American Indian child welfare, cultural competency and a range of other issues related to child and family well-being.

The Families and Advocates Partnership for Education (FAPE) provides web-based resources to assist families, advocates, and self-advocates with communicating regarding the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). FAPE is one of four projects funded by the U.S. Department of Education (http://www.ed.gov) to reach parents, administrators, service providers, and policymakers nationwide.
